September 27, 2005 Exactly 1 year later....

I went deep sea fishing on monday, and look what I caught!  It would've been so good to eat!  Too bad it wasn't big enough for me to keep.  I had a wonderful time even though the seals kept eating our bait, and I ended up losing my fishing rod in the abyss of the sea.  I even got used to putting the live sardine bait on my own hook.  Maybe I should've just taken those home and deep fried those little suckers...

It’s been 5 months since my last post.  5 months doesn’t really seem like a long time, but with the way I’m living my life (at warp speed), it’s going pretty fast.  Let’s recap the last 5 months:

            August-

·        Moved back to the Golden State, not in my hometown, but who’s gonna complain when they place me in San Diego?

·        Found a roommate (thanks to Jer) to help pay the insane rent.  Shouldn’t they have rent control?!?

·        New rotation, New Manager

·        New church @ Harbor Presbytarian

September-

·        I’ve been hesitant about mentioning this at all, which is the main reason why I stopped posting altogether.  I can’t write about anything else in my life until it’s been told, because my life has changed so dramatically since it started…You know how artists write songs about their boyfriends and have them make an appearance on their music videos, and a week later, they’re broken up and you think to yourself how lame it was that they did it in the first place?  So yeah, I didn’t want to become like one of those lame artists, but I’m gonna take a chance anyway and hope that the lame-o part won’t happen to me.  Tommy, you are the most wonderful thing that has happened to me, and the mere thought of you makes me grin from ear to ear.  J  J  J

December-

·        Don’t remember what happened in November, or October, for that matter…as far as significant matters go.

·        Vacationing in Mazatlan, Mexico with the fam. They said it was peak season.  I can’t imagine what it’s like during the valley season.  But it was most definitely relaxing.  The Mexican food in Mexico is so much better than California Mexican.  No offense.

February-

·        Vegas, BABY!  The O show was magnificent (Thanks Ewa and Dan!).  A must see!  Michael Minas was overpriced and overrated, the Ring of Fire at club Rain was intense, and The Street Experience on Freemont was the highlight of the weekend.

March-

·        Interview for new position on Monday.  (yikes!  First since graduating).  If I get it, I’ll be back to Chicago before you know it.  The move (again) will be bittersweet.  I wonder if it’ll be easier than the first time.

So that’s my half year in a nutshell….rather than bore you with the details.  I am most definitely going delirious now…it is way past bedtime.
